It’s been a long time.
I don’t know if anyone still reads here, except for the people who have posted 40,000 spam comments over the last two weeks (I wish that were an exaggeration. Apparently this blog has taken off in popularity, but only with oddly explicit spammers.)
After Gingee died, it felt hard to continue to update the blog, as we weren’t outnumbered by bunnies any more. There were more humans than bunnies.
For far too short of a time, between July 2019 and January 2020, we were outnumbered once again. Josephine joined our family completely out of the blue. She turned up in our front garden, looking for a new family. We searched for her first home, but no one came forward, and we gladly welcomed her into our home and looked forward to bonding a trio once again.
Unfortunately, before bonding could begin in earnest, Ned went to be with his brother Gingee. Like everything that Ned did, it was on his own terms, unexpected and turned our world upside down. He hung on so long, through so many years where no one expected him to, but, at age four, we had to say goodbye. I will miss him for the rest of my life.
So now, we have Barbara, and we have Josephine, and we have our baby human who is now a fully fledged toddler. And this blog feels like a relic from another time.
